Pepperoni and Cream Cheese Pizza Rolls – Gluten Free Keto

These gluten free pepperoni and cream cheese pizza rolls are the perfect low-carb treat for a crowd. Take them along to parties, or serve them to your crew when watching the big game.

These low carb pizza rolls have been such a life saver when I’m invited to a potluck! They’re super fast and easy to make, they don’t cost a fortune, and they make a LOT. They also solve the problem of what to bring when your whole friend group has gone Keto of Low Carb. Because cream cheese and pepperoni are both low carb, each roll contains only 17 calories and 0 carbs. The ingredients are naturally gluten free, so no need to worry there!

Low Carb, Lots of Taste

Low carb pizza rolls are a really great taste and texture experience. There’s the creaminess from the cheese, the chew from the pepperoni, and just a little bit of crunch from the olive. The Italian seasoning in the oregano adds the pizza flavor. Pepperoni, Italian Seasoning, olive, and a creamy cheese filling, very amazing. And very easy to make! Just mix up the filling and pipe it into the pepperoni, roll up the sides and fasten it with an olive on a toothpick. It takes me about 20 minutes from start to finish.

These pizza rolls are almost a unanimous hit. I say almost, because I once brought them to a party where several people hated olives. Not sortof disliked, but actually hated. If you have olive haters in your crowd, you can leave them out or replace them with a halved cherry tomato.

Ingredients

Pepperoni Slices

In my grocery store, these are in with the cheese. I’m not really sure why. I usually buy Hormel Pepperoni slices because they are free of all the Big 8 allergens, including gluten.

Cream Cheese

All you need for this is one 8 ounce block of plain cream cheese. Soften it by unwrapping it leaving it out on the counter. This will make it easier to mix and pipe.

Sour Cream

Sour cream will add a bit more tang to the filling and make it a little bit softer. It’s only a little bit, so if you are out of sour cream, don’t run to the store for it. It will be ok without it.

Parmesan Cheese

Just two tablespoons of Parmesan cheese adds a lot of  depth and flavor to these low carb pizza rolls.

Italian Blend Shredded Cheese

I chose Italian Blend because it has just the flavor I wanted. Not too bland, and not too strong

Italian Seasoning

Italian Seasoning adds the “pizza” flavor to these pizza rolls. You can find it in the spice section in your grocery store. It usually contains oregano, basil, and thyme.

Salt

Add salt to the filling to taste. The Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, and olives are pretty salty as it is, but you might want to add a bit to the filling. The recipe calls for ¼ tsp, but you do you.

Olives

To me, the olives are the best part. I used the typical small stuffed green olives. If you have a favorite olive, feel free to mix it up. If your crowd doesn’t care for olives, you can leave them off or replace them with a halved cherry tomato.

This recipe makes around 50 little rolls.
