10 Gluten Free Desserts for Canadian Thanksgiving

It’s almost Thanksgiving!! In Canada that is. Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October.  Canadians have their big feast at Christmas, but Thanksgiving is still pretty special. It’s particularly special to me, because my husband and I were married on Thanksgiving weekend 19 years ago!
Growing up, we always had pumpkin pie at our Canadian Thanksgiving celebration, but that was only part of the dessert. The main attraction was always the dessert tray. Squares, cookies, candy and other treats to choose from. You could probably make a whole meal from just the offerings on the dessert tray. I’m sure this tradition is not unique to my family. If you’re having a gluten free dinner this Thanksgiving, here are some amazing finds for your dessert tray!
